OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Charging options
Every plug-in hybrid comes with a 3-pin plug as standard, which plugs directly into a regular 3-pin wall socket.
You can also upgrade to a Type 2 connector, enabling you to charge your vehicle at any one of several charging stations across the country.
Speed
Our plug-in hybrids can be plugged into charging stations up to 22kW, but their charging speed is limited to 3.7kW. Here is what this means for your 0-100% charging times:
Name | Wattage | Time |
---|---|---|
3-pin socket | 2.3kW | 5 hours |
Type 2 "Slow" | 3.7kW | 3 hours |
Type 2 "Fast" | 7kW | 3 hours |
Type 2 "Rapid" | 22kW | 3 hours |
Costs
A mile in a petrol car can cost anywhere from 12p – 21p. Charge up your plug-in hybrid every night and you can make daily savings – particularly on short journeys like your morning commute.

Home charging
Although the 3-pin socket cable we supply can be plugged straight into your wall, we still recommend getting a professional to install a dedicated charging point at your home. This will give you access to safer and faster charging whenever you need it.
All our plug-in hybrids are eligible for the Government’s Electric Homecharge Scheme, which provides you grant funding of up to £500 or 75% of the cost of installing a charger at home. Find out more by clicking here.
Charging on the move
There are now more electric charging stations in the UK than there are petrol stations. Explore just how extensive the country’s charging network is with a little help from Zap-Map by clicking here.
